Artist Statement:

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, only three hours from Spring Green. An aspiring artist at a young age, I looked forward to my evening classes at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago while still in High School. Experimenting with sculpture, photography, and performance art in undergraduate classes further opened my eyes to the variety of mediums available to an artist; much time was also spent on musical projects and beat poetry. Yearning to escape the cold Chicago winters, I soon found my way south, eventually settling in Tucson, Arizona. Artistic endeavors lead down many paths, and I found myself creating costumes for professional theater companies. I began once again to travel the country, beginning right here, working for American Players Theatre. I have been recharged by the luscious hills of Wisconsin, the coastal beauty of Northern California, the non-stop hustle of New York City, and the vast horizons and intense landscapes of Arizona. These have all inspired this new work, and I could not be happier to share it with you.
